Dish TV or Direct TV, anybody know...

direct tv is good...but the menus are tougher to use, the service blinks out more often (storms, high winds, etc)..and the quality of the audio they feed sucks!

i had dish network before i moved to where i am now and i loved it, i have digital cable right now and it is nowhere as nice as dish! now i like my cable internet, but i would for sure say to go with dish!! [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

...here's my quandary. My POS cable company is going Direct TV.

...that's it, nothing extra, no frills. You buy all the equipment.

...while I keep getting offers for Direct TV and Dish TV.

...right now, Direct TV is offering up to five rooms worth of equipment for FREE, plus FREE installation.

...Dish TV, is offering up to four rooms of FREE equipment, FREE installation AND a FREE digital recorder.

...I only need four rooms hooked up, so the Dish TV deal would seem the best.

...but, a couple of people I talked to, say Direct TV is better.

...the BIG question, is it, or isn't it.

Dish.....the only thing Direct has going for it is NFL Ticket!

the dishnetwork dvr is alos a very very nice feature. its not as good as tivo....but still a very cool thing to have.

Igot Direct TV..I like it..I like the "scouts" that will look for programs I'm lookin for..etc..Yeah the interface took some time to get use to,but what doesn't.
Bone's right about the "blinking off",but that only happens in severe Storms..Out of the all the years I have had it I prolly lost an hour total due to storms..I only loses the signal for a liitle bit till a big storm passes.
